NAFDAC intercepts N200m worth of sub-standard imported drugs

Nigerians have been advised to always purchase medical consumables from registered pharmacies so as to ascertain they are not buying fake or substandard drugs.

The advice was given by the acting director general of the National Food Drugs Administration and control (NAFDAC )while displaying more than $600, 000 worth of counterfeit medical consumables and drinks that were intercepted through the boarders across the country.

The NAFDAC director noted that key players in the health sector, religious leaders should always educate their members on the dangers in while buying drugs from unregistered premises such as motor parks.
